NOTES:

 

• When training remotes, the old remotes are removed from memory during the training procedure.
• Please ensure all remotes (both old & new) are available with you to be trained at the same time.
• The key transponder chip programming requires the use of a scan tool and must be performed by an authorized locksmith or dealer.
• Key blade will need to be cut (this key is UNCUT)
• Up to 4 remotes can be learned by the vehicle.

How to program the remote control - do it yourself:

 

Preparatory Steps

• Sit in the vehicle with the driver’s door open (all other doors and boot closed).
• 1. Lock and unlock the driver's door using a power lock switch or Electronic Window Lock Switch
• 2. Insert the original key into the ignition. Turn the key to the ON position and return to Lock (OFF) Position 3 times. Leave the key in the ignition in the Lock (OFF) position. (ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF)
• 3. Close and open the Driver’s Door 3 times. Leave the Driver’s Door open after this step.
• 4. The vehicle should respond by locking and unlocking the doors once
• 5. Press the lock button on the remote TWICE
• 6. The vehicle responds by locking and unlocking doors

Additional remotes:

• Repeat steps 5-6
• For up to 4 remotes total

Ending programming procedure:

• Remove the key from the ignition
• The vehicle will respond a final time with a series (about 4) of door lock and unlock cycles.
