How to program remote yourself:

 

Preparatory Steps

• Sit in vehicle with driver’s door open and all other doors closed.

 

 

• 1. Insert your original key and turn it to the "On" position and back to "Off."
• 2. Close and open the driver's door three times. Insert and remove the key.
• 3. Wait for the locks to automatically cycle. Press and hold the "Unlock" button on your remote.
• 4. Hold the button until the locks cycle again. This completes the programming procedure.

 

This procedure will program the remote, but you will need to have the key cut and transponder chip programmed at a locksmith shop or dealer.
