This is a complete remote car key for Nissan. A great replacement for your old, worn-out or lost car key can also be a spare key. This replacement key is assembled and ready for programming. It includes a 3-button key shell case, uncut key blade, transponder chip, 433MHz remote control and battery.

1) You must check your key to ensure the part number is the same CWTWB1U761 (to check, disassemble your original key down, do it this way if you are replacing the battery and check the number stamped on the remote)

2) Key Blade: Supplied uncut – must be cut by a locksmith.

2) Transponder Chip (for engine start): please check your old key for ID46 chip, transponder can only be programmed by a locksmith or dealer

3) Door Remote Control (lock / unlock doors):

  • DIY programming is possible only if you already have at least one working remote key, it will not work if you have only service grey key.
  • If you only have a master key without a remote, the new key must be programmed by a locksmith.
  • If your vehicle does not support remote door locking / unlocking, programming is not possible.
  • Instructions for DIY remote programming (lock / unlock doors) are provided below

 

The programming process is divided into two parts:

  • (a) programming the remote control for locking and unlocking the doors, and
  • (b) programming the transponder chip for engine start.

The two separate instruction sets are listed below.

a) REMOTE CONTROL PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS (LOCK/UNLOCK DOORS)

Preparatory Steps for Remote Control Programming:

  • Make sure you have at least one working remote car key.
  • When programming, all old remotes will be removed from the car’s memory, so have them ready.

Primary method (suitable for most models):

Steps to program the remote control:

  • Take all remotes (old and new) into the car
  • Close all doors.
  • Lock the driver’s door using the power lock button on the armrest.
  • Insert the original key into the ignition 5 times (in → out),
  • then insert it a 6th time and leave it in.
  • The doors will unlock, confirming entry into programming mode.
  • Turn the key to the ACC position.
  • Lock the driver’s door again using the button on the armrest.
  • Press any button on the new remote.
  • The doors will unlock to confirm successful programming.
  • Repeat steps 6–7 for each additional remote.
  • Turn the ignition OFF and remove the key.
  • Test all remotes to ensure proper operation.

 

Alternative method (suitable for some models)

  • 1. Open Driver side door
  • 2. Put the Original key in and out of ignition 2 times
  • 3. Close and open driver door 2 times
  • 4. Put Original Key in and out of ignition once
  • 5. Shut and open door twice
  • 6.Close door
  • 7. Insert key Turn ignition on
  • 8. Turn ignition off and remove key
  • 9. Door locks will cycle
  • 10. Press lock and unlock together for 1 second then lock button

(To delete remotes turn the key on and off 5 times, door locks will cycle 5 times. Turn the key on then off. Open shut door)

  • 11. Locks will cycle put key in ignition turn to on then off
  • 12. Remove key from ignition, close door and test remote

 

b) TRANSPONDER CHIP PROGRAMMING INSTRUCTIONS (FOR ENGINE START): must be programmed by a locksmith or dealer
