Timing Vanos Control Solenoid Valve for BMW

 

VANOS is a valve timing system that changes the timing of the valves by changing the position of the camshafts in relation to the drive gear and the crankshaft. The VANOS unit is located between the camshaft and the chain drive gear. If the relative angular position of the camshaft with the crankshaft does not change on a conventional valve actuator, regardless of the load on the engine, then the phase change system allows you to adjust the position of the camshaft depending on the speed and load on the engine.
